She moved to East Rochester and graduated high school from there with her best friend Betty. Betty introduced her to her future husband, Donald J. Sunderville, on a double date. They married on July 9, 1949. Lorie was a secretary at Rochester Liquor and Xerox. Then on to her most rewarding job as HR Secretary at Fairport Schools and Northside Elementary School.
Lorie loved to be active and spent many years bowling at Panorama Bowl. She and close friend, Annie, enjoyed numerous bowling tournaments together in NYS. Don & Lorie loved boating at Seneca Lake for many years. She was an avid water skier and did well at slalom skiing and taught her children to ski as well. They moved to Inverness, Florida in 2000 where they enjoyed making many close friends and spending some time in paradise. They returned to Fairport in 2012 where they enjoyed many family get-togethers that always involved a drink in hand and a game of euchre.
Loretta passed away peacefully on July 21, 2022 at the age of 94. She is predeceased by her husband Donald and son David. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Ballone, Sister-in-law Terry Sunderville, Children: Bruce (Vita) and Donna (Bob), Daughter-in-law Bonnie (David); Grandchildren: Jason, Taryn Adam, Nate, Brian, Tyler, Zachary, Great Grandchildren: Sarah, Justin, Sydney, Jonas, Owen, Bryce and Luka. Lorie had many close friends she leaves behind: Betty, Dottie, Annie, Phil, Patty, Carol - (just to name a few).
We will miss her sense of humor and feistiness. She loved us dearly and we her.
