Kathie attended RIT, where she met Bob, and held many administrative positions over the years, most notably as medical office manager for over 20 years for the late Arthur J. Moss, MD’s cardiology practice and then, later, as part of the University of Rochester Heart Research department. She loved working in the medical field and interacting with patients and clinicians, and even her favorite TV shows were all medical related. Throughout her life, Kathie enjoyed crafting. She enjoyed sewing, including smocked outfits, her kids’ Halloween costumes, curtains, pillows, and even her daughter’s wedding veil.
Kathie loved her family and was a devoted caregiver for over 25 years to her aunt and mother, who lived to age 98 and 97 respectively. She enjoyed creating many memories with her children and grandkids at their cottage on Honeoye Lake for the past 36 years, and annual summer vacations to Old Forge. She and Bob took many ski trips out to Colorado, Utah, and Canada and a memorable family trip to San Francisco and Lake Tahoe, CA for their 25th wedding anniversary. One of her favorite trips was a Caribbean cruise with her entire family for their 50th anniversary.
The family would like to thank Dr. Diego Cahn-Hidalgo, long-time physician, and his staff for their care and attention over the years, as well as the staff of Home Instead. In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to charities that Kathie supported including School of the Holy Childhood and the Al Sigl Center.
