Joe was predeceased by his parents, Mary and Joseph Hawkins, and his brother, Charles Hawkins
He is survived by his loving wife, Rosalind “Roz” Hawkins; his adoring children, Christine (Bill) Kastner, Joseph (Jodi) Hawkins, and Jennifer (John) Anadio; his brother, William “Bill” (Annette) Hawkins; and cherished grandchildren: Nick (Amy), Danielle, Robbie, Kylee, Tyler, Taiya, Anna, and Paige, as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Joe worked for many years at the Riverside Book Bindery. He was very passionate about sports, especially his favorite teams, the St. Louis Cardinals and Notre Dame Football. He was also an avid collector of sports and movie memorabilia.
His greatest love in life was his family, whom he was incredibly proud of, especially his beloved grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, May 23rd, from 5-8PM at the Alvah Halloran & Son Funeral Home, 2125 Chili Ave. Rochester, NY 14624. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, May 24th, at the All Seasons Chapel at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd., Pittsford, NY 14534, interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Joe’s memory to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
