Dorothy was predeceased by Joseph, her loving husband of 78 years; her sister, Corrine White, and brother, Bill Scouten.
She is survived by two daughters, Marilyn (Chuck) Newell and Carol Marron; sister, Norma Robeson; 8 grandchildren: Kristin (Danny) Kildea, Kurt (Christine) Catalano, Lisa Rizzo, Marty Marron, Kelley (Adrian) Myers, Matthew (Julie) Marron, Michael D. Marron, and Andrew (Andrea) Marron; 17 great-grandchildren: Connor, Keegan (McKensie), Tyler, and Kyle Catalano, Brooke and Candace Easton, A.J. Ariosa, Emma Rizzo, Leah, Adrianna and Austin Myers, and Cody, Dallas, Michael Patrick, Sophia, Ellie, and Talon Marron; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Dorothy loved her family and weekly dinners with them. She was proud of her years as a Crossing Guard at St. Helen’s, of being a member of St. Theodore’s Rosary Society, years of water ballet and countless gifted crocheted sweater sets.
A special thank you to all of her Rummy buddies, and to her caregivers, Kelley and Sheryl who kept her smiling. Special thanks also goes out to our heroes of the U of R Hospice team.
Relatives and friends may call on Tues., December 29th, from 4-7PM at the Funeral Home of ALVAH HALLORAN & SON, 2125 Chili Ave., Gates. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30AM on Wed., December 30th, at St. Theodore’s Church, 168 Spencerport Rd., Rochester, NY 14606. Interment in White Haven Memorial Park. All attending visitation, the funeral Mass, or burial are required to wear a mask at all times and must follow social distancing guidelines.
