Chester R. Young

He was predeceased by his parents, Ralph and Alberta Young; his wife, RoseMarie Young; his sisters, Marian Buckwald, and Shirley Cantrell; and brother, Ralph Young. He is survived by his daughters, Rose Anne Flad (Jack Smith), and Jean (Gerry) Holdsworth; 2 grandchildren, David John Adams and Melissa Marie Adams; good friend, Cedric Webb; brothers, William (Klaus) Lonski; Robbie (Beverly) Lonski; niece, Susan (David) Darling; and nephews, Ronnie Cantrell, Donald Buckwald, and Martin Buckwald. He will also be dearly missed by his furry companion, Lassi Lynn.

Chester worked at Kodak; retiring after 34 years. He was very active and enjoyed physical activities including swimming, hiking and working out. He was funny, fun-loving, compassionate and devoted to his family and friends.

His family would like to thank the staff of Woodside Manor for the wonderful care given to Chester.

A graveside service for Chester will be held Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Rochester, NY. Those attending are asked to gather at the Dewey Avenue entrance. Memorial contributions may be made to the First Bible Baptist Church, 990 Manitou Road, Hilton, NY 14468.
