Hey Anna,
Tomorrow marks one year since you left this world. You are gone, but not forgotten. Your artwork reminds us, and your mentoring sustains us - we are greatly thankful for how you poured into family, friends, co-workers, and the people you passed on the streets and paths of life. We are all better people for having known you, and our loss is great. You are deeply missed by many people. It is hard to believe that a year has passed already - surreal actually. 
It's been a great year of change in the world, and there isn't much that has improved for the better down here on earth. Life is for the living, and we will continue to be motivated by your zest for life, and we will press on to live life to its fullest.
Thanks for being the best person you could be, and for encouraging all of us to do the same. You were a great friend. Thanks for the memories and the wisdom you imparted.

Just found out about Anna’s passing. I played basketball with her at the University of Rochester. Anna was a fierce competitor, smart, friendly, with a
great sense of humor.  This news was unsettling. I’m glad our paths crossed. Rest in power Anna!! 

It is with a heavy heart and tears in my eyes that I learned of Anna's passing this week.  I met her and Maureen many years ago when they both adopted stray kittens from me that I had rescued. I kept in touch with her on and off over the years and most recently reconnected with her this past spring when she told me of her health issue. During the spring and summer we chatted several times and she kept me updated on her health struggles.   She was a very special person.   Rest in peace sweet Anna.  You will truly be missed.

I am sorry to learn today (9/17)that Anna has passed away. We were in high school together and I reached out to her last year when my son began study at University of Rochester. Anna was a good person.

She was a consummate professional and really wanted everyone around her to succeed.  I am grateful for her kindness and insight during the many visits she made to our business.   

I was sorry to hear this news about Anna.  I worked with her at Kodak many years ago but my favorite memories were of scuba diving in Key Largo with her.  Maureen and Frank might also remember that trip in 1989.  

When I cuddle with my 2 rescue cat, gaze outside at the Paw-paw trees or admire my lillies I will always think of Anna. I am so grateful to to Anna and what she has given me, not in objects objects, but in love and knowledge. She was such a unique, gifted , interesting loving person. I have not known anyone like her. 
I will always treasure the time we talked and spent together. I always looked forward to any knowledge that I learned from her- whether about plants, cats, dogs, birds etc. I have learned so much from her, about life and love, and I thank God that I had the honor of knowing her.
I am deeply sorry for this tremendous loss in your family.  I will always treasure her memory and thank her daily for my 2 cats!!

Our sincere condolences to Anna's family. We worked together at both Kodak and RPO for many years and she was always there to help us whenever she could. She was not only a colleague but a good friend, we will miss her.

Anna and I were colleagues years ago at Kodak, and she was a pleasure to work with, being creative, collaborative, and professional.  We combined on the spectral design for a film scanner, leading to a few granted patents and contributing to what became the Spirit Datacine  that was commercialized by Kodak and Philips.  Though I had not had occasion in recent years to need her help, I wouldn't have hesitated.    And I now wish that had indeed happened - it would have been great to have reconnected.  So Anna, here is to you !      You were and will be cherished by many, including family, friends, and colleagues.

Anna and I worked together at RPO, She was a very intelligent person. Everytime she would come to me looking for measurements, she would often amaze me with the level of detail she had already put into the project.  My sincerest condolences to her family, friends, and other coworkers.

I worked with Anna for only a year at RPO.  I was hired to fill her position 3-4 months after she left on medical leave. I will miss our weekly conversations, her brilliant mind, and her witty, sarcastic charm.  I was very intimidated by her when we first met, but she made sure to open her arms and break the ice, as difficult as that may have been.  At one point she told me “Brian, you were supposed to laugh, that was a joke, you’re not going to survive if you don’t get my humor” (I could hear her smiling through the phone).  She had a big heart with a very unique way of showing it. She always tried to help myself and the rest of the Coating team with questions only she could answer, often times from her hospital bed. We will never forget her, and her shoes will never be filled.
 We love you, Anna.

Mrs Hrycin,  Frank, Michael and family and Maureen:  No words can describe the sadness I feel for you and the empty feeling I have inside.   She was one of less than a handful of besties Ive had in life.  So caring, so interesting, so special.  And such a devoted worker to the point I so wish I had convinced her to retire sooner because she woukd have made so much out of her retirement. And also for selfish reasons if she had I would have had the chance to share her company more often!   I miss her dearly.   My heart goes out to you. 

No words I write here can truly express my condolences to Anna's family for their loss.  I can only hope to express the joy that Anna brought to so many of her coworkers.   I had the great pleasure and honor of working with Anna at RPO for many years.   

The first time I met her I immediately knew this women was a force to be reckoned with.  A mighty talent, a patient mentor and not just a wealth of knowledge... but THE wealth of knowledge.

I was always amazed at the world-wide respect that Anna garnered.  It was no surprise as she was certainly deserving of it.  But there was always a sense of love and appreciation behind the respect.  It was never just about her knowledge and experience; it was also about her character as a person.

Even with all her knowledge and skills she never shied away from learning more and other things - in that she was also a great student.  Never arrogant, always patient and thoughtful and caring and all that carried with a great sense of humor!

Know that she made all of us better.  Better workers, better technicians, better analysts... better people.

I know that I am a better person for knowing her and working with her.  The world has lost a truly great scientist and person.  But I also know that while her light has dimmed, the lights she lit in her life shine bright still, she has left the world a brighter, better place.

  She will be... is missed.

My sympathies and condolences to the family and friends of Anna. Anna was a great friend and colleague over the past 41 years. We all are better people because of the time we spent with Anna.

Anna, it was a long time ago that our paths crossed in 1981 at Kodak Elmgrove while working on the Disc camera project, only to have the opportunity to work together again in 2019 at RPO.  So many memories of racquetball and working on your Opel, when we didn't have a care in the world. Fast forward to the past 3 years, and having the opportunity to work together again, and to glean from all of your years of optical expertise. It was a privilege to work with you again, but so difficult to watch you battle your health issues. We may not have agreed on everything, but our skill sets complemented each other well in the workplace. You fought hard these past 18 months, as we all expected you would, and you were able to find peace in your final weeks. Frankly, a peace that surpasses all understanding.

You will be deeply missed by so many of us, and we are all inspired by a life well lived. So many hobbies, so many interests,  a diverse circle of friends, and such compassion for the less fortunate. We already miss you Anna. Thanks for the precious memories!

In the 1978-79 UR  year,  I was a wet-behind-the-ears Frosh trying to find my way in all things River Campus. At the first basketball interest meeting, Anna, a senior, introduced herself and immediately made me feel at ease. Her kindness, humor, and athletic drive helped me everyday before, during, and after practices, and it continued into her post-UR years. She attended many  games (basketball and beyond), such a great and constant fan throughout my Yellowjacket years. So blessed to have known you, Anna. ❤️Jody L Patrick ‘82

Frank and family.  We wanted to convey our sincere condolences on the loss of your daughter/sister.  Losing a daughter is very difficult and we hope your mom knows that we are thinking of her during this emotional time.  Sisters are special, and we know this loss is very hard on you and your brother.  We hope that you can find peace as time passes keeping close the fun memories and happier times.
