It was with an immense sadness that I received the news of Thomas' departure. 
I worked with Thomas since the beginning his collaboration with Grupo Antolin, and I was very close to him during the years I was in charge of our Operations in North America.
During all these years he was an efficient and loyal collaborator and a very good colleague, I enjoyed his friendship and I always admired the amplitude of his technical knowledge.
I have lost a friend.
I will keep him in my heart.

Ich bin zutiefst erschüttert über den plötzlichen Tod von Thomas. Ich kenne ihn seit 1990 und durfte mit ihm einige Jahre in der Autoform in Saal/Donau arbeiten, bis er mit seiner Familie nach Amerika ging. Wir hatten immer Kontakt,bis er im Jahr 2001 wieder, wenn auch nur für bestimmte Zeit, mein Chef war. Auch danach haben wir uns nie ganz aus den Augen verloren.
Thomas, ich möchte mich vor Dir in aller Achtung verneigen für das, wie Du die AF aufgebaut und später wieder in Schwung gebracht hast und danke Dir für all die Jahre unserer Freundschaft!!!
Ich danke Dir auch für all die Jahre, die ich teilhaben durfte an Deinem Leben und Du mich immer wieder auf dem Laufenden gehalten hast. Ich kann meine Trauer nicht in Worte fassen und wünsche der ganzen Familie ganz viel Kraft für die nächste Zeit; haltet zusammen und gebt einander den nötigen Halt, den Ihr jetzt braucht.

A true gem of the automotive industry.  Thomas had arguably unmatched technical expertise, but I will forever remember him as a man of unwavering integrity and candor. The way he conducted himself and treated others in both good times and difficult left a deep impression.

Das Team des Werkes Überherrn/Saarland, Deutschland, ist erschüttert über den plötzlichen Tod von Thomas Eickhoff. Er hat in unserem Standort als Engineering Manager im Zeitraum von 1986 bis 1988 und von 1992 bis 1998 Meilensteine gesetzt. 
Wir hatten und haben mit ihm als Engineering Manager viel bewegt.
Seit 2014 war als Vice President Engineering wieder für unseren Standort in Überherrn verantwortlich. 
Thomas Eickhoff wird von uns allen sehr vermisst. 
Wir trauern mit der Familie Eickhoff über diesen groen Verlust.

The team at Überherrn / Saarland, Germany, is shocked by the sudden death of Thomas Eickhoff. He has set milestones in our location as an engineering manager in the period from 1986 to 1988 and from 1992 to 1998.
We had huge efforts, progress and success with him as engineering manager.
Since 2014 as Vice President Engineering he has been responsible for us in Überherrn again. 
Thomas Eickhoff will be truly missed by all of us.
We grieve over the great loss with the Eickhoff family.

I got to know Thomas as a fully of joy and dedicated man. My sympathy in this difficult time belongs to his family and to all, who were close to him. My deepest condolences.

A great Engineer. People not in the industry do not understand how his work helps make your family and friends safer. You probably know someone spared in an auto accident from his guidance making interior trim part of an integrated safety system.

Truly a one of a kind.  A great person and a brilliant engineer.  I am a much better person for knowing him. He will truly be missed.

I had the opportunity to work with Thomas and the privilege to have him as direct supervisor and close mentor for many years. His work ethic was an example for all of us to follow, and his professional and technical knowledge is unmatched. He will be dearly missed. Thomas was a brilliant engineer and great leader in the Automotive industry.   I worked with him for the past the 14 years and was just so saddened to hear of his passing.   To the Eickhoff family....you father was an amazing man with so much creativity and skills that the headliner world will never be the same I am sure.   I pray for you three to allow yourselves to mourn and heal.   Know that Thomas is in a far greater place today than we are.   May God bless each one of you.
