Ted was born in Detroit on November 26, 1963. He graduated from Lahser High School in Bloomfield Hills, class of 1982. Ted earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Central Michigan University and started his retail management career in Ohio. Ted moved back to Michigan as the manager of Blockbuster and finished his career at Barnes and Nobel on Orchard Lake Road in West Bloomfield.
Ted loved sports. He was a huge Tigers and Patriots fan. Ted loved to read and kept an incredible library of books. Ted also loved being an uncle and did that well.
Ted is survived by mother Janet Moore; siblings Robert (Nancy) Moore, Trisha (Dennis) Carter, Kathy Moore-Liddie, and Dan (JulieAnn) Moore; nieces Christine Liddie, Brandi (Chris) Telles, Melissa (Kyle) McGraw, and Robin (Emmett) Hassen; and nephews Joseph Liddie, Matt (Shianne) Carter, Tom (Amanda) Carter, Ben Carter, and Tony (Carla) Moore. Ted is predeceased by his father Arthur Daniel Moore.
Ted’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Tuesday August 6th, from 3 to 8pm and on Wednesday from 9:30am until the time of funeral service at 10am at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester. Burial will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made in Ted’s honor to Ascension Rochester Hospital, Diabetes Center, or The Michigan Humane Society. Envelopes will be available at Pixley Funeral Home.
