Susan Nancy Brail

Susan was born the daughter of Blaine and Nancy (Gilbert) McGiverin in Detroit, Michigan on January 11, 1945. She graduated from Rochester High School, class of 1963 and married Robert Brail on May 27, 1965 in Baldwin, Michigan. Susan and Robert raised their family in Rochester. Susan had a career in banking for NBD and in retirement she worked at in the Kroger Deli in Rochester and Bryan’s Market in North Branch. Susan loved her family and her work.

Susan is survived by her children Robin (Caroline) Brail, Rolland (Christy Burtner) Brail; grandchildren Darian Brail, Vahn Brail, Sage Brail, Evan Brail, Eileen Brail, and Isabell Burtner; sister Martha (Late Charles) Olsson; nieces Kimberly McGiverin-Shiel, Kathy (David) Kurslake, Kelly (Kevin) Bohan, Kim Kreger, and Kay Lapp; and nephews Kevin (Kathy) McGiverin and Brian McGiverin. Susan was predeceased by her parents; and brothers Blaine McGiverin Jr. and Rolland McGiverin.

Susan’s family will welcome all for a memorial gathering on Friday October 20th, 2023 from 10 a.m. until Noon at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. Interment will be private at Mount Avon Cemetery in Rochester, Michigan.
