Shirley Etta Slate

SLATE, Shirley E., age 89, of, Rochester passed away December 31, 2014, eleven years to the day that her husband died. A Rochester resident since 1957, she was a long-time member of Five Points Community Church and was a Supervisor for Michigan Bell Telephone Company, retiring in 1990. Beloved wife of the late Louis T. Slate. Dearest mother Nancy (Frank) Savalli of Clarkston and Ann (Richard) Farrand of Keller, TX. She is also survived by her five grandchildren and her twelve great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday at PIXLEY FUNERAL HOME, 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Memorial contributions in Shirley’s memory may be directed to the Wounded Warriors Project and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
