Shirley Jean Fuller, age 82, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away Sunday December 15, 2019. Shirley was born the daughter of Arthur and Elsie (Partain) Brannan in Pontiac, Michigan on April 19, 1937. She graduated from Pontiac Central High School, class of 1955. She married Melvin Fuller on January 21, 1956 in Angola, Indiana. Shirley was a bus driver for Rochester Community Schools for 27 years. She belonged to the Fraternal Order of the Eagles in Rochester. Shirley was also a former member of Five Points Community Church. In retirement, Shirley and Melvin wintered in Texas for 26 years. Shirley loved kids, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed fishing and listening to her beloved Detroit Tigers on the radio. Not only did she play competitive softball in her younger years, Shirley and Melvin both coached their sons and other neighborhood kids on several little league teams. Shirley is survived by her loving husband Melvin; children Rick (Denise) and her deceased son Rodger's wife, Terry; grandchildren Christe (Brian) Ferris, Melissa (Dave) Beaulac, Amanda Fuller, and Ryan Fuller; great-grandchildren Kayla, Kenzie, Brayden, Keegan and Elena, Zachary, Natalie; siblings Dave Brannan, Mary Jo Rogers, and Pat Kleindl. Shirley was predeceased by her parents Arthur and Elsie (Partain) Brannan; son Rodger Fuller; and siblings Louise Hargraves and Dorothy Roerink. Shirley’s family will welcome all for a memorial gathering on Sunday January 12th, 2020 from 2pm until the time of memorial service at 3:30 pm at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester.
