Roy A. Daugherty

Roy A. Daugherty, age 84, of Northville, Michigan, passed away October 11, 2013 after a long illness. Roy retired from the Detroit Police Department as a Lieutenant in the Homicide Division. He was a USMC veteran, member of the Detroit Police Officer Association, the Lieutenants & Sergeants Association, the Retired Detroit Police and Fire Fighters Association, and The Choir Boys. Beloved husband of Arete Joan Daugherty (Barbas); father of Michael, of Atlanta, Georgia, Christine (Gerry) Kelly of Chandler, Arizona, and Diana (David) Di Rita of Northville, Michigan; grandfather of Laura and Patrick Di Rita of Northville, Michigan. The family will receive friends on Monday from 3pm – 8pm at the Pixley Funeral Home 322 W. University Drive Rochester. A funeral service will be celebrated at The White Chapel Memorial Park Cemetery, Chapel of Psalms, 621 W. Long Lake Road, Troy, Michigan Tuesday 2 PM.
