ROSEMARY AUSTIN, age 68 of Rochester Hills, died November 23, 2022 at her residence. Rose was born on March 30, 1954 in Albion, Michigan, daughter of the late Stanley and Mary (Chlystek) Marzic. She earned a BS degree in Education from Central Michigan University, and a Masters +15 in Education from Michigan State University. For 34 years, Rose taught mathematics in Utica Community Schools at Henry Ford II High School. In 1984 she married Bruce Austin. She had a passion for running, backpacking and enjoyed playing golf, but more than anything she loved what she was born to do- teach. Rose is survived by her loving husband, Bruce. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Anthony Marzic. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, December 3, 2022 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W.
