Roger was born to James and Mildred Owens in Greensburg, Indiana, on May 23, 1951. Roger and his family moved often during his childhood, but his fondest memories and his heart were in West Milton, Ohio, where he spent years of his youth. Roger worked as a commercial truck driver, but spent most of his working life as a maintenance and technology technician for Observer and Eccentric Newspapers.
Roger met the love of his life, Karen, and immediately knew that he wanted to spend his life with her. The two were married on August 4th, 1973, and spent 51 incredible years together.
Roger had a love for woodworking, and you could often find him in his shop drinking a miller lite and working on a project, or teaching his grandchildren how to build something new. Roger also loved to work on anything with a motor, he built countless motorcycles and cars over the years. Roger was one of a kind, a truly kind man, making everyone he met feel welcomed and like they were the best of friends right away. Above all else, he loved his family and would do anything for them.
Roger is survived by his loving wife Karen, their daughter Christy Hale, three grandchildren;: Lauren, Jack and Matt, and many many friends.
