To his wife
Roger was born at a very young age
Now he is ready to be laid in a grave
He attended school, you could never guess
Roger attended class but was far from the best.
He served in the army for Uncle Sam
25 years to earn a college degree; what a man!
He married a pretty girl from Chicago's south side
They had two sons; they stayed together, side by side.
Come to his funeral only if you want to
Casual dress is fine; he'll (sort of) miss you
He is now with his best friend Jesus, a social guy
Humming & singing praises in the heavenly sky.
I won't see you there, but have fun. At least rejoice.
