So sorry for the loss of my cousin Robert. 
My deepest condolences to his family. Growing up our families always visited often. His mother was my dad’s sister and we saw each other families often when growing up. Lots of good memories of those visits. Unfortunately because I moved to Florida 20 years ago I didn’t see Robert until  he came for a visit one year. Got to be at least 18 years ago and the last time I got to see him.  Wonderful visit and we talked for hours about everything . Time goes by quickly and cherish those times together, as I have done. Robert Muccino was a strong and meaningful influence in my life. He was more than a big brother to me. He was a protector of his younger siblings and took that role seriously. Robert was very generous with his time and talents when there was a need.  I can’t begin to tell you how many times he had helped his brothers, sister, and friends move there belongings when relocating from one house to another. That’s because He was the guy with the  up truck.(lucky him)

My brother, Robert always gave wise counsel and sound advice and is the reason I decided to move to Kansas City in 1993 to take a new job. I was very apprehensive but when Robert was driving me to the airport to go on an interview with my new company I told him I’m not sure if I really want to go, just at that moment, a city bus with an advertisement on the side read “ change is good”  and we’re still here in Kansas City after 30 years.

My brother, Robert will always have a special place in my heart, and in my memories for the rest of my life.

Thank you Robert for being my Big Brother and know that you had a positive influence in my life❤️

Where do I begin to remember things about a person you met in 1950 who turned out to be your best friend for over 73 years. Robert, who was four months to the day older than me, was the first person I met in the neighborhood and over the years we did a lot of things together. From riding bikes to baseball, football, hockey in the street during the winter and playing outside until our parents called us in, to experiences later in life growing up. 

At times throughout our lives, we went our separate ways, but somehow always reconnected. One important moment in time was the day Rob asked me to be God Father to his son Robert. I was very honored.

I was notified years later when Robert’s mother Ann, dies and was able to see The Muccino family. Then a few years later got the call about Robert’s wife Vicky’s death.

In recent years Rob and I reconnected again, and it was a real pleasure meeting him for lunch at the restaurant he and his late wife Vicky would frequent. Over the next few years, we made it a point to get together at least once a month. The biggest thing I got out of our time together was his memory of things we did and people we knew growing up that I had forgotten about.  

When COVID hit, we were able to get time together and have lunch at his place. Then the lockdowns came we were only able to talk on the phone. Once restrictions started to ease, I thought we could resume out lunch dates, but the facility had other plans which ended our visits.

Then on August 22nd I received a text from Matthew informing me of Robert’s death on the 21st. I have now lost my best friend after my wife who dies exactly 2 years ago on the 22nd. 

Robert will be missed and remembered.

I'm really sorry to hear about the loss of my first design supervisor in 1990, He was one of the best supervisors I ever had in my career in GM.  My condolences and prayers are for Muccino family, He is now in the hand of mighty and merciful God.

Rob was my Supervisor when I started my career at GM in 1999, and I remained on his team  until he retired.  He was  such a jovial and fun guy! I remember going to Dougs Delight and getting lunch with Jae, Rob and some other colleagues.  Vicky  made the best salads and the ice cream was delicious too.  Rob was pivotal in my role and always encouraged me to pursue my dreams and career within GM.  I am so grateful that he was my boss and friend over the years. He will surely be missed!
