Richard Boyd Bigelow, age 88, of Washington, MI, passed away on January 22, 2023. He was born in Detroit on March 5, 1934, son of Victor & Lenore Bigelow. On April 27, 1957, Richard married Barbara Jean Pawloski and they enjoyed 66 years of marriage.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy where he served aboard the USS Macon. After a long, and successful, career with A.T. & T, Richard had retired to spend more time at his Florida home. He was a member of the American Motorcyclist Association, District #14 and had a passion for motorcycling, golfing, camping and traveling.
In addition to his wife Barbara, Richard is survived by his sons Kirk, Kris, Kip and Kreg Bigelow; grandchildren Courtney, Kristen, Kiley, Rachel, Chelsea, Miranda, Jennifer, Jamie, Kanon, Kara and Reeva; and a sister, Sandra Rae.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester.
Inurnment at Great Lakes National Cemetery.
