I just learned of Nancy's passing and am so very sorry we have lost her. She was part of our local emergency planning committee here in Dalton and was a wonderful person. I loved viewing the beautiful video on this site that includes so many sweet photos of Nancy over her lifetime.

Jim, so sorry to hear of your sister's passing. I know how you have helped her in moving, finding a residence, visiting her and grieving her illness and passing. Prayers will be said to have God lead you and the rest of the family through your grief.

My heart goes out to Nancy's family.  Please take comfort in knowing that she is with her Lord and has no pain or suffering any more.  Those of us left behind cannot begin to understand where she has gone, but know that it is a better place.  So we remember, grieve, laugh, cry, and miss her.  I worked with Nancy and truly loved her and her spirit.  We were two Midwesterners in the South and had a special bond.  She will be missed.

Love lives on forever...in the memories, in the stories, in the hearts of all whose lives have been touched by a very special person.  Nancy's sweet smile and contagious laughter will be missed but her strength, faith and love will live on through all whose lives were touched by her.  Until we meet again Nancy . . .

I'm so sorry to learn of Nancy's passing.  She and I worked in the same department at Shaw and unfortunately we both got our cancer diagnoses within a couple of months of each other.  Through Pat, we shared our first side effects of chemo and remedies.  She sent me my first couple of chemo hats.  I hope I was of some help to her but I wish I had known more and done more.   I hope her family and friends find peace in knowing she is forever healed.  Rest in Peace, Nancy.

Nancy exhibited "class" in all she did.  Her words and directions were unquestionable as her guidance and coaching was impactful.  She touched the lives of hundreds of Shaw Associates, and was a mentor to so many.  Her smile, sense of humor, and constant camaraderie will be greatly missed.  A classy lady Nancy Van Eman....she will be missed.

Nancy was a very special & sweet lady.  We used to share stories about our "Fur Babies" at work.   She is & will be greatly missed.   She was just a beautiful & genuine person and I am blessed that I got to know her.

Nancy was a woman of rare dignity, strength and courage. She was willing to help anyone who asked. She also had one of the best laughs ever! This world is lesser for her loss. Ah, but the next world is sweeter!

I was blessed beyond measure to share part of my life journey with Nancy.  She was a treasured friend.  She was a special lady. Nancy was a person of faith who let her Christian light shine as an inspiration to others.  Jim, Brenda, Mother Nancy, Joanne and Sue; you are in my thoughts and prayers. Jim, she knew she could count on you.  She told me more than once that if she needed you, you would be there on a moment's notice.  I grieve with you and will keenly miss her.
