Nancy Ann Borg, age 71, of Northville, Michigan passed away on Monday, May 6, 2024. Nancy was born in Santa Monica, California on November 22, 1952, to Justine and George Nampa. She graduated from Lee M. Thurston High School before continuing her education at Central Michigan University where she received her bachelors, and Eastern Michigan University where she earned her Master’s degree.
She married her beloved husband, Roger T. Borg, on May 12, 1973. Nancy had a passion for her job and an unending desire to help those around her. She worked as an expediter for American Expediting for 20 year; during the COVID 19 crisis she personally delivered infant ventilators to hospital in need. During her life she also worked in real-estate and in restaurant management.
As a faithful Catholic, she attended church at Our Lady of Victory in Northville, Michigan. Nancy believed in this country and all of the good it could do and as a proud patriot her motto was, “Family, God, and Country”. She could be found every Fourth Of July celebrating with her friends and family. When she was home, Nancy liked to relax with a Sudoku puzzle, some reading, or one of her favorite crime shows. She also found joy in camping and spent time as a Girl Scout in her youth.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Roger Borg; her daughters Mandy Borg and Katie Lara (Russell); her grandchildren, Haily, Hannah, Sophia, and Ian; her great-grandchildren, Willow and Noah; her sister Sue Spino; and her sister-in-law Diane.
The visitation for Nancy will be held Friday, May 10, 2024, from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307, with a funeral service at 11:30 AM.
