Miriam Patricia Barnes

BARNES, Miriam Patricia “Pat”, (nee Michel) age 70, of Rochester, Michigan, passed away December 23, 2013, at William Beaumont Hospital in Troy, Michigan. She was born May 13, 1943, in Tonawanda, NY, to the late Elmer and the late Miriam Michel. Formerly employed in Customer Relations for General Motors, Pat was presently employed at Werner’s Hallmark in Rochester and was a dear friend to all of her co-workers and customers who had the pleasure of meeting her. She loved life and enjoyed the trips she would take with family and friends to Florida and South Carolina. She and her husband were faithful members of Faith Lutheran Church in Troy, Michigan, where they were active in the church’s prayer group. She was also active in the Community Bible Study. She was the beloved wife of Robert D. Barnes, whom she married May 28, 1989. She is also survived by her brother, David Michel and his daughter, Dawn Achatz, both of Tonawanda, NY. Other survivors include Bob’sisters, Arlene Richardson and her husband, Paul,. of Strongsville, OH and Marleta Murphy and her husband Dan, of Simpsonville, SC, her four nieces and her two nephews. Memorial Services for Pat were held on Saturday, December 28, 2013, at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester, MI, the Reverend Joe Casiglia of Faith Lutheran Church, officiating.
