Michael Eugene Johnston

Michael Eugene Johnston, 77, of Rochester Hills, was called back to his heavily Father on the morning of August 15, 2016 and died peacefully in his home while holding the hand of the love of his life.

Michael was born in Port Huron, Michigan on November 8, 1938 and was the oldest son of Eugene and Dorothy Johnston. He graduated from Port Huron High School and received a BSME degree from the University of Michigan and a Masters of Business Administration from Wayne State University. He worked for Chrysler Corporation for over 30 years in various engineering management positions and retired at age 56 to travel and spend more time with his wife and family.

Michael was the beloved husband of Carol Johnston for over 54 years and the loving father of his three children Michael Scott Johnston (Talia), Lisa Johnston, Kristin Abbott (Andrew) and his seven grandsons (Nick, Cal, Cooper, Ethan, Drew, Brady, Will).

He will forever be remembered for his sense of humor, kindness, generosity, integrity, and above all, his dedication to his wife and family.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 17, 2016 from 4-8p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home at 322 W University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, located at 1011 W. University Drive, Rochester, MI 48307.
