Peggy was born the daughter of Robert and Mae Accorsi in Berkley, Michigan on February 7, 1942. She married Alfonz Alongi on December 7th 1963. Peggy worked for Beaumont Troy Hospital in Patient Registration. She found great joy in gardening, crocheting, knitting, reading, and playing the piano. She was an avid Detroit Lions fan and looked forward to watching the games. Most of all Peggy loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Peggy is survived her sons Nick (Julie) Alongi of Oxford, and Tony (Kim) Alongi of Clarkston; grandchildren Dominic, Vincent, Brianna, and Gianna. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews. Peggy is preceded in death by her husband Alfonz and her five siblings.
Peggy's family will receive all for a visitation on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m., and on Wednesday November 27th, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. until the time of the 11 a.m. funeral service at Pixley Funeral Home located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester.
