Lynda Summers McGee, of Rochester, Michigan, passed away on February 17, 2024. She was born in Detroit, MI to Stanley and Patricia Summers. Lynda was well known for her style and earned a degree in Fashion Merchandising from Northwood College. She was a woman who wore many hats, owning The Old Post Office Eatery in Sanibel Island, FL and The Clothing Emporium in downtown Rochester, MI, working at an independent bookstore, as an artistic landscaper, and in retail management. She was a beloved member of the OPC in Rochester. Lynda filled her days with creative expressions such as calligraphy, gardening, music, baking, cooking, and decorating her home. One of her favorite places to travel to was Petoskey, MI where she could relax with her family.
She is survived by her partner Victor K. Dorer III; father Stanley Charles Summers; children Luke Manford McGee and Lyndsey (Alexander James George Gouldey) Summers Gouldey; siblings Richard Charles (Suzette Mae Summers) Summers and Mary Beth Summers.
She is preceded in death by her mother Patricia Joyce Summers, her sister Kerry Lynn Summers, her ex-husband Mark Manford McGee, and her nephew Michael Summers.
A visitation for Lynda will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, 1550 Walton Blvd, Rochester Hills, MI 48309, followed by a funeral service at 3:00 PM.
