Kristin Ann Wallace

Kristin A. Wallace (née Olsen) was born June 23, 1969 in Detroit to Robert and Helga (née Aschböck) Olsen and was the eldest of three children. She grew up in Troy and Rochester and graduated from Rochester Adams High school in 1988.

Kristin married Jeffrey Wallace in 1989 and her beloved daughter Kariee was born in 1990. Kristin was a loving and devoted mother to Kariee and her gift with and love of children saw her pursue several years as preschool teacher in a Montessori school. More recently, Kristin had spent the past eight years working as a compliance specialist with Lockwood Management where she worked alongside her partner Mark.

Kristin will be remembered by those who loved her for her thoughtfulness, generous spirit, boisterous laughter, and uncanny ability to find her family and friends the perfect presents. Above all, she will be remembered for her love of children and love of animals, in particular her beloved pets Lola and Buddy, the squirrels she befriended in her back garden, and the pets of friends and loved ones she constantly spoiled with gifts and treats. It is unbearably cruel that we have lost Kristin not only at such a young age, but mere months from the celebration of her daughter Kariee’s wedding in London, England, where her absence will be felt immeasurably. It is some comfort knowing that her final evening was spent taking a walk with her friend and their dogs and excitedly making plans to pick up her dress for the wedding the following day.

Kristin Wallace, aged 54, died unexpectedly on Friday, December 1, 2023 in her home in Walled Lake, MI. Kristin was preceded in death by her father, Robert. She is survived by her daughter Kariee, her loving partner Mark, her mother Helga, her brothers Eric and Philip, and adored nieces Sophie and Abigail.

A Memorial Service will be held Monday, December 11, 2023, 1 p.m. at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive, Rochester.
