Kayoko Kish, of Troy, Michigan, passed away on February 26, 2025. She was born in Hokkaido, Japan on October 31, 1929 and immigrated to America during the 1950s. In America she found her love, Richard Kish, and the two were together for over 50 years. She brought beauty to her community as a jeweler and Made-Rite Pearl Company in Troy, Michigan before taking her well-earned retirement in 2019 at the age of 90 years old. In her early life, Kayoko was a skilled traditional Japanese doll maker and later in life she loved to travel with her husband Richard and see what the world had in store.
She is survived by her husband Richard Kish; step-son David Bureau; close niece Pamela Stramel; and special friends Tammy and Kim.
A memorial visitation for Kayoko will be held Tuesday, March 4, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester, Michigan 48307, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 AM.
