Katherine Marie Glube

Katherine was born the daughter of Wilfred and Leota (Reynolds) Babbitt on December 6, 1930 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan. Katherine married Henry Glube on Dec. 30, 1967 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan at First Methodist Church. Katherine served first as a homemaker, raising and caring for her family was most important. She also volunteered with American Red Cross and worked at Detroit Plastics Cadillac Products and EDS. Katherine was a member of Christian Fellowship Church. She loved gardening, knitting, reading, playing the organ, attending annual Babbitt family reunion at Algonac State Park, and vacationing with family.

Katherine is survived by her daughter Diane (Paul) Jenkins; grandchildren Angela (Eric) Burkheiser, Andrea (Matt) Hales, Jim (Jessica) Denis, Bishop Jenkins, and Julian Jenkins; great-grandchildren Christian Burkheiser, Dane Miller, Gwen Miller, Anthony Cushman, Jimmy Denis, Alex Denis, Annabelle Denis, and Amelia Jenkins-Barocio; and siblings Wilfred Babbitt, Beverly Steingraber, Kimberly (Greg) Gruenberg, and Melanie Babbitt. She is predeceased by her husband Henry; parents Wilfred and Leota (Reynolds) Babbitt; brother Joseph Babbitt and brother in-law Bruce Steingraber .

Katherine will lie in state on Saturday March 20th, 2021 from 10 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church, located at 19700 15 Mile Rd. in Clinton Township. Burial will be held at Oakview Cemetery in Royal Oak following the luncheon.
