Julie Marie Smith, age 61, of Rochester Hills, Michigan passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2024. She was born on May 1, 1962 in Detroit, Michigan. Julie attended Cousino High School before earning her Medical Assistant Certificate from Ross Medical School. Her husband Kirk would soon pass within only two months since their vows, leaving her a young widow. Her partner, James “Jim” Morosan, was the father of her beloved daughter and they were together until his passing. Julie was an integral member of several doctor’s offices in the office manager role. A religious woman, Julie was a member of St. Sylvester’s in Warren, Michigan. One of Julie’s great joys in life was spending time with her daughter. She loved being a mom, being blessed to have her daughter, Lura, at the age of 41, and relished going clothes shopping with her. When she could, Julie enjoyed reading, listening to music, gardening, and being a political activist. She was also a big fan of dogs and was a member of the Husky Mom group chat on Facebook. Julie also loved art, she was a collector of art and she and Lura would watch black and white classic films together.
Julie is survived by her miracle baby Lura Morosan; her sister Mary "Joelle" Bujdoso; her nephew Jozsef Ceglarek; numerous cousins; and her beloved dog Syla.
Julie was preceded in death by her father Jozsef Gaza Bujdoso; her mother Colleen (nee Quinn) Bujdoso; and her sister Jeanne Bujdoso-Ceglarek.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
