BERRY, John “Jack” C., 92, of Auburn Hills, passed away June 18, 2017. He was born to Cletus and Gertrude Berry in Detroit on September 10, 1924. He attended Cass Tech High School, Carnegie Tech University and the University of Detroit Law School. He served his country during WWII as part of the 264th Engineer Combat Battalion. In 1957, he married Marilyn Krausmann; their 59 year marriage has been a true “love affair.” Jack proudly devoted 35 years of service to General Motors, retiring as the Manager of the Company’s Building Division. Jack thoroughly enjoyed fishing, playing cards and spending his summers in Northern Michigan and his winters in Florida. Jack’s favorite past time was being surrounded by his family and friends as he watched the Tigers game. Loving father of Pat (Jeff) Krause, John (Kelly) Berry, Peg (Randy) Tavierne, Jim (Lisa) Berry, Bob (Kristen) Berry and Rick (Ana) Berry; grandfather of Jaclyn, Robert, Brian, Joe, Patrick, Kevin, Meghan, Jack, Margaret, Elisabeth, Michael, Maria, Anne, Brig, Blaize, Allie, Bobby, Annalise, Jackson, Austin, Lucas and Travis and brother of Doris Affeldt, the late Miriam McGrath, the late Geraldine Bonnell, Thomas Berry and the late William Berry. Visitation 3 – 8 p.m. Thursday, June 22, 2017 at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W University Dr., in downtown Rochester, evening service at 7 p.m. during visitation. Funeral Liturgy 11 a.m. Friday, June 23, 2017 at St. Irenaeus Catholic Church, 771 Old Perch Rd., in Rochester Hills, the family will receive guests from 10 a.m. until the start of Mass.
