Janet earned her Bachelor's of Arts in education from Eastern Michigan University and taught business at Bentley High School in Livonia for 5 years. Her husband of 63 years, Arthur, was the son of Daniel Webster Moore and Ella Goodwin Moore.
Janet and Arthur had five children: Robert (Nancy), Trisha (Den), Kathy, Dan (Julie Ann) and Ted, nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Arthur and Janet were world travelers, volunteers, and peace crusaders.
A visitation will be held for Janet on Tuesday July 11, 2023 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester, Michigan. Funeral Mass for Janet will be held on the following day, Wednesday July 12, 2023 with instate beginning at 10:00 am and Mass beginning at 11:00 am at St. John Fisher Catholic Church in Auburn Hills, Michigan. Janet will be laid to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, Michigan following the Funeral Mass at 2:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Capuchin Soup Kitchen or Lighthouse of Pontiac.
