Janet Ann Freeman Krompart, 92 of Glenview, Illinois, passed away September 30, 2019. She was born in Los Angeles, California on January 30, 1927. Janet graduated from Polytechnic High School June 15, 1944 and received Bachelors and Masters Degrees from the University of California-Berkeley and a Masters Degree from the University of Michigan. She was married to Robert Krompart on August 31, 1951. The couple divorced in 1971. Janet had a career in Higher Education for the University of California and at Oakland University (Kresge Library). She served her country as a translator for the US Army and the National Security Agency and had a passion for Far Eastern Languages, History, and the Arts. She was survived by Son Leland Krompart (Leona) of Glenview, Illinois. Granddaughter Myrtle Burzyck (David) of Sarasota, Florida. Grandson Ryan Krompart (Staci) of Chicago, Illinois. She was preceded in death by daughter Lucia Krompart. Janet's family will welcome all for a memorial gathering on Saturday November 30th from 10am until the time of Funeral Service at 11am at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. In lieu of flowers, donations for the Alzheimer’s Association are requested.
