George Barron, 93, of Rochester, passed away Friday, February 14, 2020. George was born on November 6, 1927. He studied at Michigan State University, and then joined the US Army to serve in the 82nd Airborne Division. George married Rebecca Lynn Allen on September 21, 1985. They raised their two daughters in Rochester. George owned a printing and advertising company for 30 years. He was also a former owner of the Ryan Street restaurant. He was a talented artist, creating Disney displays in New York City. George is also known for his work with the Warren Symphony Orchestra and a member of the Detroit Power Squadron. He and his family attended St. John Lutheran Church. George is survived by his loving wife Rebecca; daughters Mariana (Claude) Arnout and Natalie Barron; grandchildren Mary, Jacob and Zachary Arnout. He is predeceased by his mother, Lillian Barron. George’s family will welcome all for a memorial gathering on Friday, February 21st, from 10am-12pm, followed by a 12pm memorial service at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. Please join the family for a luncheon following the service at Lino’s restaurant located at 50 W. Tienken Rd, Rochester Hills.
