Gary was a classmate of mine in high school. He was very nice and a good athlete!  He will be missed by many. My deepest sympathies to his parents, sister and his children. May he rest in peace. 


Gary was a great friend and would always do anything to lend a helping hand. He always shared kind words about everyone.  I would like to share all my love and sympathy to Gary's family.  He will be truly missed.

Gary was a very close friend to me from grade school through college. There are so many memories, I can't begin to list them. However, I will always remember a trip to Florida with Jerry Bantin to visit Gary at college. We had a great time at Disney World and seeing all the sites.  And can you believe our hair? 

I will miss our many adventures in which some ended with us wandering Target. You were an amazing Uncle and will be greatly missed

Although it's been 40 some years since we last saw each other, I have great memories of you, Vince, Paul, Dan and myself hanging out in your parent's basement. You were a great friend. Someone we could count on. Wish we had stayed in touch.

My friendship with Gary began as work colleagues and grew into much more with a common bond of Football (soccer to most).   Gary followed the sport worldwide and he shared his passion for "The Beautiful Game" with me on a regular basis via phone & text.  We spent countless hours enjoying matches on tv and sharing the drama from across the miles.  In the summer of 2013 we experienced  a World Cup Qualifier together in Seattle, WA., USA vs. Panama, such a great time!  My connection with Gary was one of life's wonderful gifts and lives on with fond memories.   It's with deep sadness and from the love in our friendship that I wish to express my sincere condolences to all of Gary's family & friends.

I can't believe my friend is no longer with us. I can't tell you how many times in the last week I reached for the phone to tell him a story or about something I spotted on the road. Gary and I first met almost twenty years ago. We worked for the same company and took up an immediate friendship. For those of us that are "Road Warriors" it's an immediate bond. Someone else who understands being away from home and those we love. We often talked about all the missed events and only hoping our families would understand and appreciate what we did. Gary and I talked weekly for years. Then a few different jobs and we lost contact. About five years ago we reconnected and we just about talked daily. He was a dear friend I could share just about anything with and hope he felt the same about me. We talked sports, mostly golf, politics, families, work and everything in between. Some of the more serious conversations I'll share in person.

I know he loved Maddie and Evan dearly and always wished he could spend more time with them. Your Dad was a good man and a dear friend to me.

Gary, my brother, I will miss you till the day we meet again.

It was a great day in August to get together with some of our LHN76 classmates. What a treat to have Gary back in Michigan to enjoy seeing him. Great to see him, laugh, and remember some pretty fun times. Gone to soon my dear friend! You are truly Home in heaven! 
 

I am heartbroken to hear of my friend, Gary Bantin's passing. Gary and I first met in 1992 when we both started our careers in the traffic safety industry. We trained in N.C. for several weeks and became fast friends. We have stayed in constant touch with regular phone calls and occasional visits when possible. Gary would often mention how 2 guys, 1 from northern Michigan and the other from south Alabama become friends. Gary was a fun loving and quick witted guy who enjoyed life and loved playing golf. My condolences go out to Gary's wonderful family and friends. I will miss my friend and remember the good times we shared as long as I live. 





To the Bantin family, 
Gary was a great guy and a good friend to my older brother, Doug. I remember the time when I was young that they let me tag along to the Hampton Theater to see The Muppet Movie. I hadn’t seen Gary for several years but, a few years ago, Gary, Doug and I went to see Jackson Browne perform at Meadowbrook Amphitheater. I am so glad that we did, because little did I know, that it was the last time that I would see Gary. I am shocked and saddened to hear that he is gone. I will never forget him or the kindness that he showed to me. Please accept my sympathy at this time and know that your family is in my prayers. You have been such good friends and neighbors for my entire life.

Our condolences, we were so saddened to hear.   Gary was a great friend of Douglas and Best Man at our wedding. He and his family were such a big part of Doug's life growing up.  
He will be missed but be forever in our wonderful memories!
