Gail Ann Hughes

Beloved wife of Dwight; dear mother of Tim (Alyssa) and Scott; caring grandmother of Kelsey and Tristan; and sister of Marsha (Tom) Dunseith.

Gail was born the daughter of the late Jack and Elizabeth (Harris) Tower in Detroit, Michigan on December 18, 1942. She graduated from Rochester High School in 1960 and attended Central Michigan University. Gail married Dwight Hughes in Rochester, Michigan on June 9, 1962.

Gail raised her family in Royal Oak where she served as a paraprofessional for disabled children in the Royal Oak School District. She was a member of the Naomi Circle at First Presbyterian Church of Royal Oak and was passionate about helping others in her pulmonary fibrosis support group. She loved traveling, reading, puzzles, and especially her grandchildren.

Gail’s family will receive all for a visitation on Sunday January 21, 2018, from 2-8 p.m. and Monday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester.
