"Miss Pfister", as those of us in her sixth grade class called her, was a great teacher and a lovely person. She had a zeal for teaching and a wonderful way of delivering that to her students. She will be forever missed, but her influence will last with the lives of her many students for years to come!

I knew Elizabeth from our Charis women's group. Her sweet quiet spirit and compassion for others will be remembered. She fought this illness with courage from our Lord. With sympathy and deepest condolences to Ruthie and the Pfister family.

Elizabeth, Diana & I all worked together at Arrowview Middle School in San Bernardino, CA from 2001 to 2005 up until she moved back home to Michigan in 2006. During the five year period that we got to spend with her here in California she became one of our closest friends. I have never met someone so loving, caring, others-centered & willing to serve the Lord in my life. I know that she is now living in happiness at the right hand of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We are very honored to have known her and her family. Her memory will be part of our lives forever!

My regret is that I did not know Elizabeth longer.  She began coming to our church about 3 years ago and during that time she was a blessing to those who knew her.  She was a sweet spirit who never complained.  I never knew she was ill until it was impossible for her not to share it.  What a beautiful person inside and out.

I worked with Lisa at Oakland University.  We had a lot of fun working together and I feel very fortunate to have known her.  I will remember her warmth, friendly smile and compassion for others. My deepest condolences to the Pfister family.

Elizabeth was such a great ,warm and loving person who we have had the pleasure of being her next door neighbor for several years.  We will greatly miss her.

To Lisa's family and friends, I was so fortunate to be Lisa's college roommate at CMU. We had the best of times.  I wouldn't have changed a thing.  I loved Lisa's laugh and smile.  She always cared about others and was fun, sweet, and a dependable friend. This is a very huge loss.

Elizabeth was the very first person I met after landing in Minneapolis almost 8 yrs. ago to begin our flight attendant training. We remained in contact after we both returned home and became very close friends. Elizabeth was kind, compassionate, sincere, fun-loving, honest and strong-willed who fought to the end trying various methods to combat this horrible disease. 
Sweet Elizabeth, you will be greatly missed by myself and my three daughters. It was a privilege to have known you. I love you, dear friend.

I am so sorry to here about Lisa passing away.  I worked with her in the Admissions Office at Oakland University.  What a wonderful, sweet lady!  She was a joy to work with and a good worker.  May God heal your hurt.

Elizabeth and I met at MSP airport almost 7 years ago as we were about to embark on our NWA flight attendant training program the next 6 weeks.  We remained friends after we quit, and she came to visit me in Rockford, Mi and we would visit at Alice's house in Lake Orion also.  She was so uniquely sincere and interested in people.  I so admired her zest for life and adventure, which carried through to her decisions to pursue alternative and traditional treatments in order to live until she died.  So fortunate to have met Liz!

I was blessed to have known Elizabeth, I have so many wonderful memories of her and the fun and crazy things we did while she lived in California..I will forever cherish those moments. I was also blessed to have met most of her family and I am grateful that she was surrounded by her loving family. Elizabeth will always hold a very special place in my heart!! I love you my friend.....God Bless!

Ruthie, I am so sorry for your family's loss. Rest in knowing she is healthy, and now sees her earthly Dad and her heavenly Father face to face! May the Lord give you peace that passes understanding.

Dear Ruthie and Gendich family - It was such a pleasure to meet and get to know Elizabeth through you. We share your sorrow for your great loss. We appreciated her as a teacher in the Avondale School District. I always enjoyed chatting with her, and admired her kind, humble spirit. What a comfort and joy to know she is now in the presence of the Savior she loved, and is out of pain, and at peace.

Elizabeth was a kind and gentle person. She truly cared about everyone and this showed in her daily actions. I will always remember Elizabeth's kind smile and sense of humor.

Lis was truly a blessing in my life for the past 35 years.  She was a very special person and someone that I will miss more than words can express.

I remember Lisa as a kind & generous person. She usually had a smile to share and compliments to hand out. Her passion as an educator went beyond the classroom to the point where she took our children on personal field trips to historic Rochester sites. A spirit of Christianity shown through always.
