Beloved wife of Carl for 68 years, and his widow since February 28, 2016. Doris was the proud Mother of three sons; Eric S. (Karen) Pearson, of South Lyon, Michigan; Mark A. (Deborah) Pearson, of Takaka, South Island, New Zealand; and Brian T. (Laura) Pearson, of Milford, Michigan. Also surviving are her beloved Grandchildren; Scott M. (Ashley) Pearson of Rochester Hills, Michigan; Thomas C. Pearson, of Ann Arbor, Michigan; Rennie J. Pearson, of Takaka, South Island, New Zealand; and Alanah M. Pearson, of Takaka, South Island, New Zealand.
Doris was born December 3, 1926, in Bad Axe, Michigan, the only child of Henry F. and Mary E. Sasse. She graduated from Pontiac High School, a member of PHS Class of 1944. Doris and Carl met in High School, and were married April 24, 1948 at Central Methodist Church, Pontiac, Michigan, after Carl returned home from Service with U.S. Army Air Corps during WWII. They transferred their membership to St. Paul's Methodist Church in Rochester when they moved to Rochester in 1960. Doris was a legal Secretary, retiring when her first son was born so she could become a full time Mother. She was an avid golfer, loved to play bridge and to travel. She was a retired member of Rochester Junior Woman's Club, Emeritus One Department; a member of Meadowbrook Women's Club; a Charter member of Brookwood Golf Club; a long time member of Bald Mountain Ladies' Golf League; and a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.
