Loving wife of John for 56 years; dear mother of Julie (Todd) Chesnut of Naperville, Illinois and Jennifer Zimmerman of Okemos; caring grandmother of Zach, Ava, and Addison; and sister of Mary Wohlfert of Interlochen, Michigan.
Carol was born the daughter of Wallace and Margaret (Evans) Valleau in Bay City, Michigan on August 21, 1941. She graduated from Denby High School in Detroit, Michigan and married John Zimmerman on September 9, 1961 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Detroit Michigan.
Carol enjoyed gardening and was an active member of the Meadowbrook Garden Club. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Carol spent time painting and playing bridge, loved dogs, northern Michigan, and being with her friends and family.
Carol’s family will receive all for a visitation on Thursday March 8th, 2018 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home located at 322 W. University Drive in downtown Rochester. A funeral Service will be held Friday March 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church located at 1011 W. University Drive in Rochester with instate from 10:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the church.
