Barbara was born the daughter of Eugene and Sylvia (LaPachon) Farrell on March 31, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan. She attended Saint Joan of Arc and graduated from Grosse Point High School, class of 1959. She was married to Thomas Fredal in 1960 and they had 3 children together. In 1973, She married Thomas Brown. They blended their families and had one child together. Together they raised seven children in Bloomfield Hills and Rochester Hills, MI.
Barbara loved her family and friends. She had a fun-loving spirit and was kind and generous to everyone she met. After raising her family she spent many years with her husband in Naples, Florida. Together they enjoyed golfing, boating, spending time at La Playa Beach Club, and entertaining family and friends.
Barbara is survived by her children Robert Fredal, Tracy (Frank) Houttekier, Michael Fredal, Thomas (Terri) Brown Jr., Wendy (John) Meurer, Kelly (Richard) Willis, Patricia (David) Lanfear; twenty grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and siblings Michael (Judith) Farrell and Patricia Zurwich. Barbara was Predeceased by her husband Thomas M. Brown and her Parents, Eugene and Sylvia Farrell.
Barbara’s family will welcome all to a visitation on Thursday, November 30, 2023, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Pixley Funeral Home, located at 322 West University Drive in downtown Rochester, Michigan. A funeral mass will be held on Friday, December 1st at 11:00 a.m. (instate 10:30 a.m.) at St. Andrew Catholic Church, located at 1400 Inglewood Avenue in Rochester. Burial will follow at Christian Memorial Gardens West Cemetery.
