Our beloved Ashley D. Glassford, 29 years of age, passed away unexpectedly on August 27, 2020 due to a rare, medical complication. Ashley was born in Lapeer, MI. Ashley was the mother of young Rebecca (Becca) Colleen Beall and the fiancée of Benjamin Young. Ashley was just beginning the life she had dreamt of with her fiancée, Ben, and expanding her family as she was 8 ½ months pregnant with Zachary F. Young when passing. They are both with the angels now. Ashley was known by all for her humor, beauty, free spirited nature, love of adventure, and passion for helping others. And, most of all, for her adoration of her 4 ½ year daughter, Becca, and fiancée, Ben. Ashley was happiest when she was taking her daughter to the park, dancing, listening to music, writing poems, camping, boating, and traveling w/ her fiancée Ben. Her love for others and for her daughter was endless. If anyone knew Ashley, they knew that she lived by the beat of her own drum. And, we all loved her for that. She is survived by her fiancée, Benjamin Young, her sisters and brothers, Amy Harris (Scott), Emily Glassford, Elizabeth Glassford, Megan Glassford, Kirk Sanborn (Jacki), Kayla Micketeit (Jeff), Tyler Iseler, Dayna Iseler (Rob), her parents, Diane Glassford, Fred Glassford, Ronda Alexander (Joe). She is survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Ashley lived in the moment and because of this, was known for the saying “Stay Wild Moon Child”. She is now this. Stay wild moon child. She will always be loved and never forgotten. The viewing will take place on Saturday, September 5 from 2pm - 8pm at Pixley Funeral Home in Rochester. Social distancing is in effect and masks must be worn. Therefore, no more than 10 people at a time are allowed in Pixley Funeral Home. There will be seating available outside for those waiting. The Celebration of Life service will be taking place on Wednesday, September 9 at 12:00 pm. The service will be held outside unless inclimate whether prevails.
