KELLIHER, Alfred John (Jack) Jr., 80, of Rochester Hills, MI, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2011. He was born January 15, 1931 in Detroit, MI, the son of the late Alfred John Kelliher, Sr. and Agnes Kelliher. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Ruth, and son, Michael Kelliher, daughter, Cheryl (John) Coscarelli; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter; his sister, Frances Shields, and brother, Peter (Ann) Kelliher. Jack married his high school sweetheart, Ruth, soon after graduating from Lincoln High School. Jack was a long-time Ferndale grocery store owner, an accountant for Holly Carburetor and Excello Corporation and he retired from Beaumont Hospital as a master electrician. Jack was a devoted husband, father and patriarch of the Kelliher Clan. He believed in democracy, but had to have everyone acknowledge he was “The Boss”. Jack taught his boys to be disciplined and independent men and had a soft heart for his little girl. He lived his life by the following principal: Life is short and eat desert first!
The Family will receive friends at 1:00 p.m. and will have a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 2nd at the Pixley Funeral Home, 322 W. University Dr., Rochester MI.
