Linda Lorraine Shields Taylor

Linda Lorraine Shields Taylor passed peacefully on June 17, 2023 in Lehi, Utah. She was born November 27, 1949 in Salt Lake City, Utah and lived with her parents Harold Eugene Shields and Lorraine Coon in Garfield, Utah until she was about 5 years old. Her parents then moved to Magna, Utah, where Linda attended Cyprus High School. She enjoyed high school and was involved in various activities. Linda married Alan E Taylor on November 7, 1969 in the Salt Lake Temple. In March 1971 they moved to Glendale, California.

Linda was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Primary, Sunday School, and the Relief Society in her ward. She was loved by all and enjoyed serving in various positions. In July 2015 she and Alan moved to Saratoga Springs, Utah. Linda blessed the lives of the many people with whom she shared her love.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Jeffrey Shields. She is survived by her brother Jerry A Shields, her husband Alan, her daughters Amy (Brian) Wilson of Susanville, CA, Rebecca Taylor of Saratoga Springs, Utah, Leslie (Ryan) Jones of Covina, CA, and Rachel (Ben) Everitt of Saratoga Springs, Utah, 17 Grandchildren, and two Great Grandsons and one expected Great Granddaughter.

The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses and support personnel of the Pointe Meadows Health and Rehabilitation Facility, Lehi, Utah, who cared for Linda prior to her death. We are grateful for the love and support of the Ward members and neighbors.

Services will be held in the LDS Chapel on June 24, 2023 at 10:00 AM, located at 663 W 400 N, Saratoga Springs, Utah 84045 with a visitation 1 hour prior to the services. Interment will be at approximately 12:30 PM located at the Valley View Memorial Park, 4335 W 4100 S, West Valley City, Utah. In lieu of flowers the family prefers donations to be made in Linda’s honor to The Intermountain Primary Children's Hospital, Salt Lake City, Utah.
