Leslie was born December 8, 1952 to Paul & Kareen Ketterer in Salt Lake City, Utah. She attended Highland HS and the University of Utah where she met her husband. Leslie married her eternal companion, Craig J. Smith on January 2, 1975 in the Salt Lake City Temple. Together they raised four beautiful children; Austin, Jared, Cami, and Hayley who love and adore her immensely.
Leslie dedicated her entire life to serving her family, which was Leslie’s number one priority. She was an incredible wife, mother, and grandmother. Anyone who came into her home felt as if they were part of the family. There were many who felt that Leslie was there second mom. Leslie very much loved being a grandmother to her fourteen grandchildren, who were her “pride and joy.” She was good at making everyone around her feel special.
Leslie was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day-Saint, with a fervent testimony of her savior and His gospel. Her other loves were Tarzan, cross stitch, and crafting. Leslie was survived by her husband Craig J. Smith; children: Austin (Patti) Smith, Jared (Lara) Smith, Camaree (Jason) Coulson, Hayley (Nate) Adamson; and siblings: Pauleen Cottrell, Carmen Okimoto, and Karl Ketterer. Leslie was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Kareen Ketterer.
