She was the youngest and last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Mary, Joseph, George Jr., Orville, June and Donna. She was also preceded in death by two grandsons and her husband Max Wilson to whom she was married to for 31 years. She is the mother of three children – Becky, Ron and Dianne, and has 12 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She grew up in Salt Lake-UT, Vancouver-WA and Portland-OR, but if you asked her where she grew up, she would say Chesterfield, Utah where she had many friends. As an adult she and Max settled in Granger, UT which later became West Valley City.
She spent her adult life primarily as a mother and house wife, but worked in many professions. Her time working at both Condie’s Salad and for the Volunteers of America detox center was her fondest work memories.
She is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and loved reading the scriptures. Her greatest love was her family; she also loved country/western music, reading, movies, going for car rides, playing games and crocheting.
Funeral services will be held at Saint Joseph's Villa chapel (451 Bishop Federal Ln, Salt Lake City, UT 84115) on Thursday, January 16, 2025. There will be a viewing from 9:00 - 10:00 AM followed by the funeral from 10:00 - 11:00 AM.
Interment will be at the Camp William Veterans Cemetery & Memorial Park.
