I knew Steve since elementary school and we were good friends at Canyon High School.   I want to offer my condolences to his family and his mother and father.  I was very happy for him when he made it into the CHP and then was accept in for his motor officer training.  He was excited because his lifelong CHiP's dream was coming true.  

I would like to send my sincerest condolences to the Steven Licon family.You don't know me,but I,also,carry the Licon last name by my mother.This was such a great loss of a caring person and officer.I pray that God will ease your pain as time goes by,but he will never be forgotten. I worked with Steve at the House of Imports when Steve worked as a technician.
I found Steve to be friendly and helpful to others.
When he decided to leave and become a California Highway Patrolman I hated to see him  go.
I will always remember him.

Good old Canyon High! Steve and I met in high school and we graduated with the same class "1983".  Steve was always so kind to me as we passed each other going to class and the classes we had together were great cuz he would always entertain us. I was so sad to hear of Steve's passing as after school we lost touch and this just broke my heart. But I will never forget you and that smile Steve and we will see each other one day. RIP MY FRIEND

My son is a California Highway Patrol Officer, his mom and I worry everyday about him and what he does. I guess I have no room to talk as I probably worried my mom to death also being a United States Marine. My son worked with Steve fresh out of the academy back in 2009. I wish the family many happy happy memories in this time of great sadness. My prayers are with you and the
family..... God bless!

You just knew he was going to do something great when he grew up and he did. 
Rest In Peace my friend. We will see each other again.
