Ruth Ramirez, born on April 6, 1942, passed away on February 14, 2017. She was 74 years old. She was surrounded by loved ones as she took her last breath and went to receive her rightful place in heaven with her Savior Jesus Christ.
She was proceeded in death by her parents Mary and Solomon Naranjo, her brothers Gilbert, Jerry, Frankie, Daniel and Daughter-in-Law Pam Ramirez.
She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Manuel Ramirez and her seven children, Augie, Patty & Eddie, Mary Ann & George, Lu & Mike, Robert, Richard & Lisa and Christina & Ray. Twenty-four grandchildren, twenty-eight great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother David and wife Linda Naranjo and brother Anthony and wife Dorothy Naranjo, many cousins, nieces, nephews and her Little Bear.
Ruth lived life. Every day, for better or worse she would tackle whatever the day threw at her. From her times working the factory line in Orange County to teaching and molding the young minds of the kids at Centro de Niño’s in Riverside. She had a passion for whatever was put in front of her.
A devoted wife to Manuel. It was not the love of fairy tales but real authentic love. Love that could put those fairy tales to shame. Family was her truth and her legacy. Called Mom, not only by her own children but by many “adopted” sons and daughters throughout the years. Mom, Mommy, Mama, GG, G’Ma, Grandma, Abuelita, Sister, Tia, Ms. Ruth, Rufina, Tefula and Friend. The only thing bigger was her faith in the Lord God and Savior in heaven. A true Bride of Christ. She was a witness for Him in the way she lived, the way she loved and the way she accepted the lost and the found with open arms. Her life was a reflection of God’s love, grace and mercy that He extends to all.
Cancer may have taken her body but she was a warrior through it all. There was no losing the fight. Her reward was waiting for her in heaven. God’s open arms welcoming His daughter home and telling her…
“Well done good and faithful servant, thou has hast been faithful over a few things, enter thou into the Joy of thy LORD.” Matthew 25:23
