Rose was a beautiful person inside and out. Whether she is remembered as Rosie, Rose, Rosemary, Tia Rosie, Rosa, sister, nana or mom - she was the kind of woman who loved without bounds, she smiled earnestly and danced incessantly. She was the epitome of love - always kind and accepting of the people she met. She loved fiercely, always welcoming people with that radiant smile and open arms. This loss is heartbreaking for everyone, to have lost such a beautiful piece of our lives but I challenge you to remember that we are all better for knowing her. Not everyone gets to meet and love or be loved on by someone as sweet and loving as Rosie.
Whether you know her from her days at Pacific Bell or her days of being Rosie the hardworking Realtor, who “Pedals” for you - you know the extraordinary person she was. She enjoyed being around people, she enjoyed connecting with them in whatever place they were at in life. In fact, she loved to be connected so much so that we can almost guarantee each of you can remember her with her phone in hand or taking a phone call in the middle of a conversation with you. That’s a testament to what mattered to her - being there for you. She was the kind of woman to sacrifice for those she loved and cared deeply for those she didn’t know. Rosie wasn’t just love and sweetness, she was funny too. She knew how to make people laugh with her silly misparaphrased sayings, or her silly jokes. At any chance she had, she spoke to the depth of her love for her family - nothing mattered more except for her God. She was a woman of true faith, always leaning into God for strength and wisdom and encouraging everyone else to do the same. In times of worry or stress, Rosie would never miss a beat in reminding you to remember that God is in control, but that didn’t stop her from being the hardworking and reliable person she was, who was always willing to help someone in a difficult situation. She was selfless, the kind of person we could only dream to be.
When you learn more about what people remembered Rosie as and how she impacted their lives, there was a commonality between all of the comments, she was: sweet, caring, loving, a wonderful person, good friend, a joy to be around, beautiful, funny, kind, thoughtful, a blessing, amazing, generous, will be missed but one thing that stood out over and over again - she loved her family more than anything, condolences to Ruben, Irene, Monica and Diane. Her 9 grandchildren know they all made her immensely proud and they vow to carry on her legacy of love and light.
Today, despite everything going on in the world lets choose to honor Rosie, by remembering our blessings. Thanking God for the years of love and smiles we all shared with her. Rosie, you were a true gem. Thank you for teaching us to love like no other, accept people for who they are, and to dance ANY time there is music. You will be sorely missed but we know you’re up in heaven dancing and smiling down on us! May you rest in peace, dear sweet Rosie.
