Born March 17, 1934 to James & Freida Waldron in Southgate, California, the second of three boys. He played and loved the game of baseball and out of high school in the early 50's he played professionally and was scouted and offered contracts by the Cardinals and the White Sox but had to decline because the offers were less money that what he was already making as a truck driver. Through his life he continued his passion as a spectator of the sport and always said he never regretted the decision because he could not imagine his life any other way. He was an avid sports fan and on any given day you could find him in his favorite lazy boy recliner 'couch coaching' whatever game was on!
In 1963 he married his beautiful bride Nelda Miller. In 1967 they welcomed their son and then daughter in 1970 and moved the family to Riverside County in 1979. After thirty plus years, in 1996, he retired from Pacific Motor Trucking, he was VERY proud to be a Teamster! To keep busy he worked part time for Singh Chevrolet through the end of 2016. He was blessed with countless coworkers that became lifelong friends along the way.
On December 28, 2016, after only fifty three years of marriage his beautiful Nelda went home to be with the Lord. Years earlier they made a pact that whoever went first would wait for the other behind the moon, to ensure they would be able to find each other. On January 3, 2025 Ron peacefully left us and found his beloved wife, behind the moon.
Together, Ron & Nelda were pure patriots. They were supporters of The Commemorative Air Force and enjoyed watching the old war planes at air shows. They also enjoyed their family of dachshunds that brought Ron more comfort and companionship than he ever thought possible after Nelda was gone.
Ron is survived by many family and friends including son and daughter in law Reese & Kathy Waldron, daughter Suzanne Loeffler, daughter and son in law Jeri & Kevin Wohn, daughter Dani Waldron, brother and sister in law Robert & Carlene Waldron, grandchildren Sayge & Cody Meyer, Matthew Waldron, Kaylin Maybee, Brenton Loeffler, Cade Loeffler, Holden Schmidt and great grandchildren Kinsley Habermel and Kailor Meyer.
