Robert was born February 24, 1940 in West Orange, California to Lorenzo and Patricia Sandoval. He was one of 17 children. Robert's brothers and sisters are Roger, Patsy, Sarah, Inez, Teddy, Joe, George, Dolores, Peggy, Danny and Alice. Robert is preceded in death by his siblings; Johnny, Peter, Mercy, Larry and Ann.
Robert attended Valencia High School in Placentia, California. His Letterman Jacket displays recognition for Football and Track. Robert graduated from Valencia High School in 1959. In 1961, Robert joined the United States Army. He was awarded The Field Artillery Missileman Badge and was an expert with the M-14 Rifle. Robert was Honorably discharged on February 11, 1963.
In 1963, Robert married Virginia Sophia Calvillo (Ginger). They have four children together: Robert, Steven, Michael and Matthew. Robert started working as a Landscape Gardener which let to the opening of Canyon Gardens Nursery. He obtained his Landscape Contractor's License and changed the name to Canyon Gardens Landscape and Maintenance. Years later he changed the name to Sun-Belt Landscape and Maintenance. He worked very hard and became very successful.
Robert was a very generous man who was willing to help anyone who asked him. He enjoyed the outdoors, reading, traveling and golfing. His favorite baseball team was the Dodger's and his favorite Football team were the Raider's. Robert and Ginger have 16 grandchildren : Steven Jr., Alexandra, Brandon, Holly, Jacob, Michael Jr., Brayli, David, Summer, Marissa, Madilyn, Matthew, Mia, Robert Jr., Megan and Mason. They have 4 step-grandchildren: Jonathan, Ashley, Jessica and Elizabeth. They also have 2 great-grandchildren: Ayden and Alayah.
Robert remarried and has a daughter named Melisa. He later separated from his second wife. Robert resided at Meridian Senior Assisted Living Facility in Riverside, California. Robert met many wonderful people at Meridian, whose company he sincerely enjoyed. Robert was loved by everyone who knew him.
