You were such a dear brother and friend to me.  And I kept my promise.  When I asked if you wanted me to speak at your service you said, "You'd better!  You've spoken at everyone elses!"  :)    

It was a priviledge and an honor to have known you.  How you made me laugh and laugh until I cried.  You made my life so colorful.  And you were never anything but loving and kind to me.  I will always remember how you would ask me if I was okay, no matter what you were going through.  And I will always admire your strong spirit and your joy of living.  

Thank you for all of those beautiful sunsets by the swimming pool.  I will leave a photo of one of my favorites.

Love you Randy.  It will be a Blue Christmas without you . . .

And To My Dearest sister Carol, Alex and Britney -  I love you all and am always here for you.  Thank you for allowing me to speak about Randy.  He was the best.

Randy came to our store at a difficult time as we were going out of business.  Not only did he fit in as one of our "family" he helped us understand the process and made it better.  I will always remember his great smile and sense of humor.  All of us wished he had come to us sooner, so we could have worked together longer than the short time we got to spend together.  I am grateful to have had the pleasure to work with a great guy!

Dear Butler Family, We are so sorry for your loss on Randy. He was such a nice person. I just loved to shop at Butler's. If it was not in stock Randy would get it for me... You are in our prayer's.. Love The Baker Family!!

Carol,Britney & Alex: Our memories of your family are from La Sierra Little League when Vern coached Britney. What a blast we had over the years! We will always remember the smile Randy had on his face while watching his lil girl play ball~~He was such a proud daddy! Dear Carol and family - We were saddened to hear of Randy's passing.  May God keep you in his care and may memories of Randy sustain you in this difficult time.

Randy Butler was my karate instructor in Sunnymead in the mid to late 70's. He was very good in what he did, and I am immensely grateful for my time with him.

 In the beginning of my time with him, I dreaded the end of class, because he would come up to me after everyone started leaving and say the same words every night-"Rick, would you like to spar?" I feared for my life, I was a white belt and he was the instructor. Although he beat me up and down the floors of the dojo, he took the time to explain my mistakes and how to be better. He didn't pull his punches either, and he and I would put on gloves, so we could go full contact. He went above and beyond what he needed to do, and the black belt I later recieved was directly because of him and the other instructor, Larry Soares.

He was a good man in my eyes, and will be missed. Rest in peace Sensei.

Our deepest sympathies to the Butler Family. Randy and I were neighbors in our younger years and I can remember all the times we used to play ollie ollie oken free and tossing the ball over the houses, kick the can and the hula hoop.  We lost contact around 2007 when he closed Butler Furnature, but I have always had a close relationship with his mother Aileen. May God Bless this family!

Our family is very saddened to hear of the loss Randy. My father knew his dad Don when their store was first opened in Edgemont, now known as Moreno Valley. My sisters and I also were longtime customers, and Randy always had a smile on his face and made you feel very welcomed.Our prayers and thoughts are with his family.

Randy - you were a real friend in our school years back in the 60s.   I can remember many of the good times and they are fond memories I will always cherish.  You are and always will be remembered and missed.
