Mickie Miller

Mickie was born to parents Junior and Velma (Ruth) Miller on February 13, 1959 in Dexter, MO. She grew up as the second eldest of five and attended Excelsior High School in Norwalk CA. In 1974, she gave birth to her one and only child, Desiree. She began working for Wilson Jones/ACCO in 1980 where she worked first running an envelope machine and later become a forklift driver. She was a dedicated employee whose production numbers are no doubt missed by many in the ACCO Brands company. Mickie loved her granddaughters more than anything in this world and spent countless hours doing arts and crafts with them. She had a passion for sewing and painting and was widely known for her homemade baskets of goodies at Christmas. She was a loving person, who cared deeply for everyone she ever met. She was as beautiful on the inside as she was on the outside.

Mickie is survived by; daughter, Desiree DeRuyter (Greg); her granddaughters Madison and McKayla DeRuyter; her father Junior Miller; her brothers, Richard Miller (Elaine) and Ronald Miller, her sisters, Lisa Barnes (Randy) and Angela Smitherman; numerous nieces and nephews and loving partner William Wallace. She is preceded in death by her mother, Velma Ruth Miller.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am Wednesday May 13, 2015 at Pierce Brothers Crestlawn, 11500 Arlington Ave. Riverside CA 92505. In lieu of flowers, our family requests donations in her honor to Grace Fellowship Church, 652 6th Street, Norco, CA. 92860.
