Not many people have the ability to make a lasting impression on your life.  Mike is one of those few people.  He is sorely missed but greatly appreciated for the joy he brought to my life.  I'm thankful that his image and voice are vividly etched in my memory.  God enriched my life through a friend named Michael David Givens.   - VT

I remember hanging out with Mr.Givens’ daughter at her house. We decided to have a sleepover. We were watching movies in the living room. That’s when Mr.Givens jumped out from behind a wall and scared us. He would always scare us and it was really fun. I remember his jokes that would always make us laugh. He was a very cheerful guy. I will always remember his great sense of humor. He was like no one else and I will always remember him. 

I have many memories of my little brother, but the one that I remember the strongest was when he was little. Until he was old enough for a bed, Daniel and I had to share a room, which was a magnet to Michael. No matter what we did, the little snot would not stay out of the room and go through our stuff. We went to Disneyland every year in September and one year I bought a glow-in-the-dark shrunken skull at the Jungle Cruise gift store. I placed it under a desk lamp that I lowered to cover the skull and turned the lamp on. 2 days later I hung it in the closet and waited... Michael didn't disappoint me and snuck into the bedroom while we were all watching TV. He opened the closet door and screamed so hard that nothing came out. He stopped going into our bedroom after that.
